B-17G-20-VE 42-97546 'Idaliza' 360BS 92BG Molesworth 1944
Delivered to the 92nd BG 11/02/1944 then transferred to the 457th BG 24/02/1944 and assigned to Molesworth 13/03/1944.

She logged 106 missions with the 303rd from the 16/02/1944 25/04/1945.
The nose art was taken from a photograph of a USAAF wartime employee Mary Lou Hanson who was working in the modification centre. Lowry AAFB, Denver, Colorado.

13/04/1944 bombardier 2nd Lt Thomas F. Dello Buono was awarded the DSC for manning his post whilst badly and accurately dropping the payload onto the target.
Col Thomas Buono retired in 1965 after a distinguished career in SAC he passed away in February 1999.
'Idaliza' was scrapped Kingman, Arizona Jan 1946.

Application Instructions

Kitsworld Water-slide Decals are printed on the highest quality decal paper, made up of a water-soluble adhesive and printed on a light blue backing paper.

How to Apply Water-slide Decals.
1). Cut around the decal.
2). Using the tweezers, pick up the decal and put it on the surface of the water - it may curl or sink, but this is normal.
3). Take the decal from the water and place it on a paper towel allowing any excess moisture to drain.
4). If using decal solutions then paint the first decal solution onto the scale model, at the point where you intend to stick the decal.
5). Use a paint brush or tweezers to pick up the decal and place it onto the surface.
6). Once the decal is in position dab a clean paper towel on the decal to soak up any left over water.
7). Leave the decal to dry, once completely dry a thin layer of gloss or matte varnish can be applied.
