Each star on the wand depicts two missions completed. Delivered to MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida, where the nose-art was painted. Left the USA in July 1942 and flew to SA, Gold Coast, Egypt and based near Haiti. First mission was 14 August 1942. Lost 1 May 1943 as it flew into another aircraft flying through cloud. All of the crew returned to the USA by June 1943.
